What kind of absurd propaganda is this? You gave Thais a holiday, now you blame them for taking advantage of it?

Most Thais are religiously wearing their masks, many are doing ATK tests and close to half have had booster shots. If these interventions work, then why the fear mongering?

Could it be that they don't work?

Also, where's the "surge"? The daily numbers are still the same as they've been for the past few days running and deaths have actually decreased from a week ago.

Stop this nonsense and move on already!!! We're tired of hearing about Covid. Most of the world has moved on. In Laos not even immigration officials posted to the Thai border are wearing masks anymore.

Oh dear a surge! Number of people on ventilators went up from 300 to 369, number of deaths went up from 16 to 21. In a country with over 80.000.000 inhabitants.

Life spreads Covid. It's very infectious.

The time for preventing gatherings etc is well past.

Vaccines and treatments are available, the virus is very manageable.

Time to move forward.

Learn to live with the disease and deal with the numbers not rumour mongering.  The numbers are never accurate in Thailand anyways. Why bother
