3/5.

Should have known that taxi drivers don't need to take that exam by their behavior. Thought that they did but just ignored it afterwards. Could've got 4/5.

3 of 5... No great stories. Worse thing that ever happened was my GF and I missed our early morning flight to Koh Samui after hailing a taxi on the street and the driver got hopeless lost on the way to Don Mueang.

I take it you got Q3 right in that case 😁

Even though I only got 3 of 5, this quiz is still easier than trying to get a driver to use the meter

Miserable 2 out of 5 (again)

A few years go on a Bangkok break we stopped a taxi around Nana BTS (a miracle I know) to go to a restaurant not far away but traffic was horrendous, and the journey started real slow.

The driver turned down one of these long walled parallel sois and ground to a halt. At this precise moment I knew I needed a toilet for a very urgent Number 2! (Non brits Google).

The wife asked the driver if there was a toilet en route and he immediately took a left into a big hullking dark building and pulled up at the main entrance to be met by a bemused security guard who, on hearing the requirement sprinted into action.

He waved me to follow and opened door after door down several long corridors. I relised then it was an unused military hospital, so a toilet wasn't far away. Credit to the security man who also grabbed a toilet roll from the ladies toilet and threw it over the door for me.

Suitably relieved, I went out to find he had waited outside the toilet to guide me back to the entrance and the waiting taxi.

Both he and the cab driver got a large tip and oh how they laughed!

Anytime I get a Bangkok taxi I remember the guy that saved my life.

Very entertaining account. Had a similar experience in Vientiane about 20 years ago. Similarly helpful cabbie but a private home rather than a military hospital 😂😁
