Well, I don't think any body really thought that the laws would be rooted in facts or science.  Got to first figure out what side will provide more power and money.  Then either scare or bribe your way from there.

The government needs to either embrace it or should not have gone ahead with decriminalization in the first place. All this indecisiveness reeks of poor contingency planning.

I live in Vancouver where we have about 8-10mil tourists per year

And most of those are families and older tourists

 

And there are weed shops everywhere.............

This is a straight question: Has cannabis never caused a single death? That seems pretty unlikely to me.

Did they put the medical-grade THC butter on medical-grade THC toast? (sorry!)
I take it that part is referring to people, not dogs?

I'm not against cannabis at all. I was just interested if there have been recorded deaths directly attributed to it.

Can't find any convincing studies that show a direct link, because the "evil weed" is smoked with tobacco; so I understand, & that is a major contributing factor.

My guess... there is no going back now. But do or don't, it won't affect me in the least. There was no shortage on ganja availability (before legalization). However, Thailand knows there is money to be made (business and tax revenue). Which is the main reason they let the genie out of the bottle to begin with, I believe. And if they can't figure out how to take advantage of that opportunity, they only have themselves to blame. One thing is certain... supporters and critics are going to keep pushing their own claims.

As the name suggests, Cannabinoids are chemically closely related to active ingredients of Cannabis, they were initially made to evade the illegality - since it's a different chemical.

Nowadays banned in most countries.

They are highly potent & concentrated and are sprayed onto dry, smokable herbs to arrive at a consumable strength by clandestine manufacturers.

Easy to see the potential for overdosing.

They said the same thing here in Las Vegas,NV when they legalized it. It did nothing but increase tourism here. I occasionally drive Uber for a little extra cash, and about every other trip from the airport is " Hey, can you stop by the dispensary", No problem, as I always get a kickback for bringing in a customer.

If anything, this will surely attract a lot of big spending wealthy foreigners. The prime targets to revive Thai tourism if I remember well
