The department’s official Facebook page yesterday uploaded a picture of a stove, with a caption saying ‘a charcoal stove is durable, helps save money, uses less charcoal, and offers a lot of heat.” The stove in the picture is a Tao Mana Satethi, which translates as a millionaire’s stove. Says use coal 🤣... I mean it is cheaper than bottled gas. But it's neither alternative or efficient.

It is not obvious to me what the difference between this "stove" and the normal one is.

Even if it is more efficient there is no way that it could be cheaper than gas, even if gas gets more expensive.

The other thing that he has failed to mention is that a gas stove can be turned off when not required. That's a bit difficult with charcoal.

Also, imagine that you could save money by using charcoal, guess what would happen to the price of charcoal if there was a significant increase in demand.

Yes sounds so Thai. First you have pollution when you make the charcoal and then one more time when you use them in your grill. Way to do it Einstein

Must have gotten the idea from Germany since they are turning on their coal powered plants as Russia cuts its gas supply to Europe.
