The World Health Organisation says over two-thirds of the population will have significant Covid-19 antibodies, thanks to either vaccination or prior infection. The WHO cited a summary of global studies that shows the rate of seroprevalence jumped from 16% in February 2021 to 67% in October. According to a Bloomberg report, officials say that the rapid spread of the Omicron variant could mean the figure is even higher by now. The latest data shows how global resistance to the virus is improving. The WHO adds that while vaccines only offer limited protection against infection with Omicron, all countries should still […]

global resistance to the virus is improving.

Tend to agree with this.  Covid recently went through our village, no deaths and only very mild symptoms.

All mostly older people looking after the grand children and great grand children.  Some have shopping bags of drugs when they come back from their checkups, so assume quite a few have health problems.

Most only mild symtoms. Daily testing for 3 days as positive.  4th day, 7th day and 10th day negative to Covid.

IMO a significant number of people carrying the antibodies have had the virus without ever knowing it.

Yes. It's time to drop all public health restrictions and move on. Time for Thailand to catch up with the rest of the world.

Antibody testing should have been equivalent to vaccines for travel but wasn't because Pfizer had vaccines to sell and politicians were in their pocket.

I agree 100%. Certainly the common sense approach. But when there are billions of dollars to be made (or recouped), common sense is often cast aside.

In the UK government testing last year showed 95% have antibodies.

And it’s so pathetic the Thai government doesn’t do this sampling themselves. It’s a hugely important number to know but the government seems to have no interest in admitting the true number of infections. Also look at the dates, February 2021-October 2021! Also they can specifically test to determine prior infection

81.3 billion dollars revenues for Pfizer in 2021 alone to be precise. Just to remind people that this wonderfull company has been found guilty of a crime over 60 times since 2000 in the US alone with over 10 billion fines (2 peanuts basically), the variety of charges are colourful to say the least (https://violationtracker.goodjobsfirst.org/parent/pfizer). And suddenly some mainstream media are now questioning the ethic of this beautiful company as if they have just discovered it but certainly when the game is over already (https://www.theguardian.com/business/2022/feb/08/pfizer-covid-vaccine-pill-profits-sales). What a wonderful world...
