Thaiger Talk Quiz #138 - Food in Northern Thailand
You see? This is how it happens that Marble Eye beats us. Its a travesty. Its an injustice. Its abhorrent to the laws of nature. I shall be contacting my lawyers in the morning. Expect a letter from Soo, Kriple and Sneer. And you better bloody read it because those guys dont mess around.- 1

Thaiger Talk Quiz #138 - Food in Northern Thailand
Thank you and my apologies, I do appreciate the disputes and feedback. We're at the stage now where most of the quizzes being played are the older ones previously posted. The four days each quiz is "live" are a good chance to iron out any problems if there are any. Q2 - I'm sticking to my guns here, but I have changed one of the incorrect answers. The answer remains the same. No doubt whatsoever now. Q5 - Good point, especially considering a couple of popular dishes. I have subbed out the correct answer for another and kept the three incorrect answers the same. Also changed one word in the question. Should be no issues now. Thanks again, BH- 1

News Forum - Exploring the National Parks of Thailand
I love visiting the national parks - camping boating and trakkibg .However it's difficult not to come to the conclusion that they are a national disgrace. One of Thailand's greatest (and potentially greenest) national treasures, they are mismanaged and largely left to struggle through neglect by successive governments. Chronically underfunded, they are open to corruption - encroachment poaching and decimation of wildlife on all sides, these resources could like in other countries be money-spinners, a jewel in the crown of tourism, instead for the most part they are just a source of national shame -

News Forum - Ministry reveals 200 apps that steal your cash
I'm aware of what you referred to. I've not experimented with facial recognition (I suspect that an animated AI-generated image could easily fool the system), but it's just annoying to want to access your phone when fingers are wet (causing finger print recognition to fail). A backdoor via a pass-code to access the phone is fine as far as I'm concerned (as long as it's non-guessable and there are further obstacles ahead when it comes to abusing any illegitimate phone access).
