Provincial officials loosened disease control restrictions today, including lifting the alcohol ban at eateries, although bars and other nightlife venues must still remain closed. Restrictions eased nationwide this week and the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration revised its colour-code zoning based on the Covid-19 situation in each province. That's sealed it for me then. I'll get the dust covers off the Learjet and slip down to Phuket for a Leo. Then again.

On a more serious note, will this attract more visitors come July 1 ?

Yes Alex, the local demographic suggests CM should remain relatively free of covid UNLESS we have another influx of holiday makers from BKK like at Songkran.  That brief spike in infection has now withered to nothing worse than flu.

Chiang Mai people do do not live, work nor socialise in a manner which encourages the spread of disease.  Apart from prisoners, there are very few concentrations of worker (slum) housing or factories with close quarter contact.

So long as A NUT IN the ministry keeps BKK closed up we should be ok up north :)
