Fossils of “primitive shellfish” were discovered yesterday at the recently renovated Siam Square in Bangkok. Supatcha Damrongmanee posted photos of the fossils on Facebook yesterday, saying she noticed them while walking through Siam Square, a shopping and entertainment area in Bangkok. Fossil expert Dr. Kantaphon Suraprasit from Chulalongkorn University says they look like real fossils. Kantaphon said they are most likely “ammonites,” which were sea creatures closely related to today’s octopuses and squids.
