News Forum - New regulations for ride-hailing services in Thailand announced
Laws and regulations are never enforced here. Remember the 'no passengers in the back of trucks' Law? Or the 'all kids to be in car seats' Law? Or the weed Laws? or the traffic Laws? Or the new helmet Laws. (that enforcement is meaningless outside the big Cities, and not much more in them. Or the taxi meter Laws in Bangkok? Or indeed, the prostitution Laws? Most farm trucks I see around me have never seen a test center in many years, judging by their dilapidated condition, let alone passed one, So presumably not taxed or insured either. I love Thailand, I love living here, but I have no illusions when it comes to the Police and the enforcement of Laws of any kind.
