I came across this a few days ago, as a pain killer it seems to be an effective treatment as a nerve cell blocker, than looking into it more I found out it has a lot of other therapeutic possibilities. The one thing that was stressed is that it will draw what ever is on the skin into the bloodstream, the skin needs to be 100% cleaned preferably with medical grade alcohol solution before applying.

Lots of how to websites and videos on the net, at least it's worth a look in my opinion.

I usually use it as a solvent in lab.

It's a bit concerning, since it dissolves many things and passes through the skin very easily, bringing the dissolved stuff with it (gloves are therefore highly recommended in its handling).

Besides, it is metabolised in the body to produce dimethylsulfide, that makes your breath smells bad.

I would totally avoid it for use outside chemical reactions.
