I doubt that the USA will approve it given Thailand's cozy relationship and proximity to China.  There is no way they want their technology to just be handed over the the Chinese. 

It would not surprise me if it is really China that is using Thailand to purchase the jets in the hopes the USA would be so stupid as to sell it to them. 

Irrespective of that, what on earth would Thailand need Stealth Jets for?  So it can sneak up on its submarines undetected?

Thailand should buy stealth jets from Malaysia. MH370 is the best stealth plane. It hasn't been found since 2014
