I had incorrectly assumed this guy was a doctor the last several years.

No, no, an engineer, much like the Health Secretary in the UK, who is an economist. A figurehead with a pile of suitably qualified advisors.

He says his ministry plans to declare Covid-19 endemic by the end of the year.

Must have had a 'tet a tete' with the Covid virus.

More delusions from Anut.

Now increasingly seen on Thai social media as a move to i) reduce the numbers coming forward to be tested and ii) the number of cases and hospital cases in Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket as the 30% or so of the population living and working there but still registered in Issan will have no option but to go home to Issan to be tested, quarantined and hospitalised.

No further comment's really needed.
