A good assessment and conclusion must be based on good data.  However, the data in Thailand is questionable at best.  Thus, stating that Thailand outperformed any other government is opinion, at best.   My opinion, along with many other healthcare administrators, is that no government should be praised for their handling of the Covid pandemic.  The world and her fragmented and compartmentalised institutions, including WHO, were simply unprepared to manage a pandemic.  The politicisation of a health problem only created further disparities, deepening xenophobia, and (thanks to the Pollies) extinguishing confidence in scientific community to solve the crisis..  News and SocMed outlets were complicit in furtherance of bogus claims pertaining to the global health crisis. Even more despicable are those who would exploit a health crisis that claimed millions of lives just to advance their own political ambitions.

An insightful and interesting post, @Upto-Moong. Thanks for that and welcome to Thaiger Talk!

Please note he said Pollies, meaning politicians, not Poolies. Thanks for the discernment.

Initially for some reasons unknown, "good luck", climate, mask wearing, etc, Thailands death rate for Covid was low, 1st April 2021 just under 100 lost their lives to this disease.

In the eight+  months since Thailand has lost another 22,000+ lives, Anut thinks this is good.

One must wonder what this bloke thinks is bad then.

And how is it that an engineering degree qualifies one as Minister of Health?

As far as I know Pfizer and the like are publicly listed companies. You could’ve cleaned up too- if you had the wherewithal.

Engineering as well as other sciences are based on logical thinking. Some other studies are based on beauty and feelings. That's why engineers are frequently sought out to solve problems.

What an infantile, moronic mentality Anutin has. What does he think it is, a pi55ing contest.  Someone should remind him, people who live in glass houses etc. One Xi is self appointed ruler of ASia, Anutin will be lucky if he gets a job cleaning up canine excrement.
