Extansion of STV visa, need insurance in Chiang Mai?

Recommended Posts

Do I need insurance to extend my STV visa?
If I need to, I only need to stay for 30 days in the future. Can the insurance cover the 30 days, or does it have to be 90 days?
Or can I apply for a 60-day coivid extension?
Thank you so much

If you have a valid STV, then Immigration will issue a 90 day extension.
You will need to provide Health Insurance for the duration of stay granted, 90 days.

Immigration are highly unlikely to allow you to apply for a 60 day Covid extension when you have a valid Visa.

Thank you very much for your information
I just need to extend the visa before it expires, or how many days in advance?

I'd recommend 7 - 14 days before your current permission of stay expires.

STV visa, the insurance company I insured before canceled the 100,000 COVID19 insurance,

the Chiang Mai Immigration Bureau asked for 100,000 USD of COVID19 medical insurance, and 400,000 baht for hospitalization + 40,000 baht for outpatient

I finally found [Luma Thailand Pass plan 1] In line with the standard, I paid the same day and got the insurance policy immediately, for reference only
