Interesting, that, since, for the UK, Thailand is an Amber list nation, requiring . . .

 

On arrival in England you must:

quarantine at home or in the place you are staying for 10 days

take a COVID-19 test on or before day 2 and on or after day 8

Yes and Portugal were none too happy about getting the thumbs-down, just at the start of the holiday season.

It was England's 2nd wave of infections that made them more than a little more cautious and, now that this 'new' strain has shown-up - the Delta one, I think - they're in that awkward limbo-land again.

Agreed, 14 days Alternative state quarantine is very strict and will put off a lot of foreigners from holidaying in Thailand.
