Life in the Isaan Boonies.
It is Sunday 13th July 2025 Snaps here. The camera finally gave up the ghost. I only took two pics and it conked out. I got it wet and it never recovered. These are the last two pics leading to the buddha along the newly named Post Road. Road end looking towards the forest. And looking from t'other end. Still a bit of work to do. I'll have a look in the week. That's that. No more pics from the camera. So!!! Had to revert to me old smart phone. Kun's charcoal hut looking down in the dumps. The Euca in the far corner of number one farm is a giant. Never gonna cut it down. Can see why the Mrs is getting me confused with Brad Pitt (in his prime). Teaching Mildred to drive. Only around the farm though. As we passed our old farm I took some pics. Called this farm Number Three farm. Gone now. Looking west. And from a bit further along. Number 8 pond . Water level getting higher. Can't get that close to the ducks when Robert's about. They certainly had a feast today. Rice lettuce and water melon. I also throw them dog biscuit. Reminds me of me younger days. Growing up in East London. "You want bread pudding for dinner kids?" "Yes mum." "Better get over to Parsloes Park then. When they throw the bread to the ducks. Jump over the fence and grab it before the greedy sods gobble it down." Those were the days. Poor but happy we were. Some views around the ponds. Number 5 pond. Between 5 and 6. From the far end of Number One towards the farm house. Pond one from the near end. Looking west. The way into the farm. Eucas one year old this month. +++++ The big one tonight Chelsea v PSG. A good tennis match in prospect at Wimbledon. Seeds one and two. +++++ Mildred had two days off last week. Big Buddha. She went with her mum on Thursday Morning. So the camera is kaput. That will teach me not to go sliding in the mud and lay in the water. The phone will have to do for the time being. And TBH, it's not doing bad. Did a nut cut in the week, No pics. Three loads to the local wholesaler;1015kg, 885 kg, 635kg, So 2535 total. Not a great cut this time. Price up to 5-25 per kilo. The 1000 baby eucas are growing like crazy. I took some pics this afternoon. but they never came out. Stupid phone. Kun and Rooney might be planting a few this week. Rain, rain rain. This is the wettest year that I can recall, and still have two months, at least, to come. Great stuff. Feel sorry for those Englanders roasting in the sun. Daughter in Harlow (Essex) says it got up to 32C last week. 32C?? People would be lighting fires here to keep warm. Seems to be millions of these tiny ants about. Tiny little things. But stupid they are. Don't they know that if they climb up yer leg, under yer shorts, nipping as they go, they are gonna get crushed? Slow learners. Trouble in the Thai government. Some changes afoot? I asked the wife about it. Didn't even answer. Climate change. Thailand, Texas, New Mexico wet. Spain, Italy and UK hot. Same, same in Middle East and East Europe. Come on! Which one of you has the Epstein files? Bit light on the pics this week. Sorry bout that. Only one thing left to say; take care out there. -

Yep. Lesson learned. Don’t hang around Thais. They’ll grass you up as quick as look at you. -

Thaiger Talk Quiz #327 - Mangoes in Thailand
Purrrrrrfect. Q1 and 2 are easy, but Q3-5 pose a challenge and a little guesswork. When in doubt, I eliminate the supposedly incorrect answers to leave the correct answer, although there are a couple of 50/50 this week. Q1. B Q2. D Q3. B Q4. B Q5. A I didn't even ask 'lucky' the dog.- 1

Thaiger Talk Quiz #326 - Thailand vs USA
Very interesting thought. However, although bitter about the result, I have moved on. I fully expect a full house on the next quiz. Well, perhaps not a full house; a clean sweep. Onwards and upwards said Buzz. I'm with Buzz on that. -

Thaiger Talk Quiz #326 - Thailand vs USA
@SnapDragon we woz robbed and should have got a full house. Let's put it another way. If you tried to fly a light aircraft at 60m directly over the top of the Statue of Liberty, would you fly over the top of it, or hit it? Therein lies the correct answer!
