Less than one week after a 72 year old foreigner fell to his death from a popular unnamed Pattaya condo building, a second similar incident occurred. This time, a 64 year old Norwegian man believed to be an expat was found dead after his fall last night from his 5th-floor condominium in Jomtien. Once again, there was no immediate sign of a struggle or foul play. Pattaya City Police responded to a notification at about 9 pm last night to an incident at a condo on Soi 7 Jomtien, though the name of the building has not yet been released […]

Sorry to be a little light hearted and it is never good to hear of yet another ended life. But this is the first thing that came into my mind.

Was it only yesterday on here Thailand was being reported as the most desirable Asian country to retire to ? 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Should have stayed in his home country , Norway has some of the most gorgeous landscapes on the planet instead of banging himself up in some horrid tower full of old men with beer guts bored out their skulls

these retirees are facing a lot of stressful issues we may not be aware of, 3 falls in a week need serious consideration and discussion on what is going on?

Reminds me of The Life of Brian - this calls for immediate discussion (Rachel) Reg, we have to go now, they're nailing him up....

It's not entirely unusual. It's know as suicide clusters caused by the social learning of suicide-related behaviors, or "copycat suicides".

It could also be random chance? no one comments on a lower than normal rate of falling deaths.

A plane crash gets in the news, but more people die in car and bike accidents that rarely get covered.

Boredom.

Easily attainable in Norway, as well.

In my opinion Thailand could be a beautiful and desirable country to retire to if one gets his priority right. If his priority is carnal pleasures and alcohol, reality will hit them hard once they don't have the funds to sustain this kind of lifestyle further.

Funds are paid monthly, so the idea that you do not have them one month is impossible from what I know as a retiree.

Please tell me what is more beautiful than a lovely lady sharing her time and carnal pleasures with you?

Thailand is beautiful and travel is great, but after a few years how many more villages, forests, foods, flora, and fauna do you need to experience?  Travel once a month or 2 for a few days and take an extended trip a couple times a year is sufficient IMO.

Peace and Love

RIP to the fallen Norwegian man.

These deadly falls do seem to happen in Pattaya to foreigners at a higher rate than normal

(Jomtien is considered "south Pattaya" by many it seems these days, so included)

About 1000 people killed in plane crashes in the last 50 years in Thailand …. I wonder what that period would give us as a total for the road toll in Thailand? Anyone, Anyone, Anyone (Bueller)?

Especially so, considering the exorbitant cost of life's niceties in that 'beautiful and desirable country'.

Well in 50 years, with those numbers, Fiji was just wiped off the face of the earth! ☹️

When you have 25,000 a year die on the roads (ie Thailand) even readers start to skip the articles, hence becomes un-news worthy.

Pattaya is a brothel, these dirty old men are not getting their fix of bar girls. Sex addiction is as bad as heroin addiction.
