It's a good thing that Thai goverment is protecting the fully vaccinated travelers from getting Covid by halting all entries. Especially now, with the surge of omicron cases in Thailand after the New Years celebrations.

Luckily, it is now possible for tourists to rebook to Laos or Vietnam. Maybe Thailand will have its high season back next year.

The health minister says some tourists did not follow rules and conditions of the programme. Some left their hotel without permission while their on-arrival RT-PCR Covid-19 tests were in the lab. The results can take hours to up to a day to come back and travellers under the Test & Go scheme are required to book a night at an approved hotel.

All 3 of them to blame for the current outbreak?  Yep, blame the tourists!

Anutin says some travellers even showed fake health insurance. He says officials will be screening travellers more carefully in the future.

Well fancy that, with all the draconian measures 'some' tried to fake it ... blame the tourists!

The same Health Insurance policies approved by Thailand's Ministry of Foreign Affairs - surely not!

Maybe he's referring to the Health Insurance policies with a 14 day 'exclusion' of claims clause which are absolutely useless whilst in quarantine and tested positive.

Remember Anutin needs all his proposals approved by the big boss Prayut Chan-o-cha. All he can do is propose, and if lucky, Prayut Chan-o-cha, will accept it and make it law. Anutin is not PM ……….. yet!
