News Forum - Chiang Mai police under fire after “pretties” joined road safety campaign

I too see nothing wrong with the women doing a little PR. In fact, stunts like this are what I like about Thailand. I, as well as many others have always liked Thailand because the country is light- hearted and appreciates novelties and banter that keep us from being too serious. However, in the last 7 or 8 years things have changed. The smiles are slowly fading and we now find ourselves smack dab in the middle of the era of "the crackdown".

Aren't the police allowed to exhibit a sense of humor from time to time?
