The Bangkok Post reports that the Corrections Department have confirmed Premchai is sleeping well in prison and has completed an initial 21-day stay in a Covid-19 quarantine area. Really who cares if he is “doing well”? Nobody does well in prison. If he’s doing well then he has help of some sort paying for protection, cigarettes or something else?

Oh for sure he will be getting some beneficial treatment, certainly won't be living the same as general population in prison, he probably has a private room. 555

Sorry to hear this. Maybe he's been out and on a special "slow loris diet", since he can no longer eat a panther.  This POS should have been left to sweat it out with all the other criminals in prison.

If there is no special benefits in prison and everyone is treated equally, why did the official feel they needed to say that?? Oh that's right...after all the cerfuffle about prisoners working as slave labour, they thought they had to mention it.

I think he'll be treated OK by Thai prison standards. My neighbor spent three years and doesn't complain. It was hard on his family without income but they made it. Now he's trying to start over which is hard. He was required to meditate and participate in a work program.

Quite dependent on the extended accommodations that are selected for those special folks. And there's the rest of us.
