There was once a small traditional Jewish community comprising of Sephardic & Mizrahi Jews from the former carved-up Ottoman Empire, mainly from Baghdad.  And some who arrived via French Indochina from Shanghai in the wake of the Japanese invasion of the former.  This community once had the pleasure of having a well-respected sage/rabbi visit by accident in the late 1950s.

The babysitter had to go home. And they found that rubber bullets hurt something chronic.

Typical protest cycle - intense for a while, forget what/why they're active.....and eventually peter's out.

Same same for decades.
