What ever happened to the Jewish community of Thailand?

There was once a small traditional Jewish community comprising of Sephardic & Mizrahi Jews from the former carved-up Ottoman Empire, mainly from Baghdad.  And some who arrived via French Indochina from Shanghai in the wake of the Japanese invasion of the former.  This community once had the pleasure of having a well-respected sage/rabbi visit by accident in the late 1950s.
