A spokesman says officials are pleased with the results of 4 economic stimulus measures introduced by the government. Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana says over 41.3 million citizens have spent over 223.82 billion baht, thanks to the 4 schemes, describing the results as satisfactory. The stimulus campaigns were introduced during the Covid-19 pandemic in an attempt to boost the economy and help those who were struggling financially. Once again a total lapse of research and thinking by the Thaiger, mindlessly repeating numbers published by the authorities. No questions about how these "data" were accrued (by the way, does the Thaiger ever check any data fed to it by the "powers that be", e.g. the numbers of Covid tests etc.), not figuring out that about THB 5,500.-- spent by a bit more than half of the population might not be such a miracle performed by the "government". Dream on, dear Thaiger, maybe you have lost your bite because of advertisment revenues.
