If not this it would have been something else. Seems it is all about hard lined control without knowing what you are doing from the get go. But in other news people will be scratching their heads for why certain night clubs, drinking establishments and other forms of night time fun venues are allowed to carry on.

Outside of Pattaya it seems. This extended shutdown should go a long way to cleaning up Pattaya.

Ummm... LoongFred. I do not want to clean up Pattaya except for the pollution in the sea and beaches and thug crime thieves. Everything else is totally ok for me. If you want it then you can go and have fun. If you don't want it and the night life then stay at your hotel or go to an area it isn't at. For this we disagree. I love Thailand for what it is, not for what the prudes want to make it. I also have kids and a family and it has no infliction on them. Nada-Zilch-Zero. We all know Thailand also on the other side is made up of second wives, girlfriends, beer girls, pretties and also their Thai side of Sodom and Gomorrah. But you are entitled to your opinion and your feelings. But I just don't agree or nor is my family, wife and two adult kids in University. Simply put, Thailand is best to have it and either you take it or you stay away from it which is quite easy to do to avoid. And I don't even watch porno and still say I like the scene as is fun.

And of course as you are well aware this government does not give a damn about your opinion or anybody else's unfortunately for you so like many others, just dream on.

Officially there's nothing open on Phuket, Koh Samui or Khaosan Rd.
All of these need to wait till the ? of ?. Nobody knows.

There is a lot of vivid life in Phuket, Samui way less. Khaosan I recently saw a video of which was boring af.

Come on man, nothing open in Phuket, everybody touching each other, no mask & no socially distancing. It looks like it's back to Pre-COVID-19 era. Which videos did you see?

Why wouldn't a country want to do away with a city that is full of prostitution?

It's a black eye for the country........

And it makes economic sense.

I am not a fan of Pattaya at all but we love the Dusit Thani there, so if we are driving somewhere in that area, we will stop for a couple days there

Last time there, it was hosting the LPGA Honda Classic. All the lady pro golfers were staying at the hotel and the hotel was fully booked with well heeled Thai golfers/fans

You know how much money that brings in? Over bars that pay no to very little tax?

And think of how much more money would be spent if Pattaya was more family/corporate friendly, a lot of those people staying in the hotel would be more apt to venture out, and they would likely spend a hell of lot more than guys at a beer bar.

It would be a business conference magnet, as well

Which is exactly how it should be. People are vaccinated, they should be able to live a normal life.

I was talking about Khaosan Rd.
If you think Phuket is back to Pre-COVID era you obviously haven't been there Pre-COVID?

No masks is a task of the RTP - They seem to be very selective upon which and when they apply their 1000B up-to 20.000B finders money as this is still the fee that's for not wearing a mask.
