There already is a Tourist Tax in operation. Visiting a Thai National Park, which many Tourists do, can cost you up to 10 times more than a Thai pays, for entry. And it's not only Nationsl Parks. Other attractions have similar discriminatory practices. -

News Forum - School in Thailand under fire for transporting 100 boy scouts in articulated lorry
Thousands of Myanmar workers have proven this a most often secure transportation to/from work. So that is schooling the kids an every day real live situation for so many people in Thailand. Wnd the principal did not let the school pay a little bit for the transport? Or is it "only" gas, 2 times fuel refilling, from empty to full? ;-)
