News Forum - British man recounts shocking encounter with racist Russians in Phuket
Well said PB the first thing I thought was it took place in a Bar and what folk see after a few scoops is often different to what happened in reality. -

News Forum - British man recounts shocking encounter with racist Russians in Phuket
I have been in Phuket since November 2022. There does not seem to have been a high/low season this year, it has been busy all year long with tourists from many countries. I come across many Russians in Makro, Tesco etc., and in Thai restaurants, they all seem very well-behaved and just like the rest of us. Most are families. When I go to a Thai restaurant and they are playing Thai music I would not complain after all I am in a Thai restaurant. I sometimes frequent an Ozzie bar and they of course play Western music, if I went into a Russian restaurant with Russian menus I would expect them to play Russian music, I would not have the arrogance to tell them to change to 'Western Music". Too many people go around causing problems and then when they are caught out they cry "racism", as a Brit I hear this all the time in the UK, and it does become a bit tiresome. It is great that Thais can be slightly 'racist' against me while I am here, it just makes me laugh.- 1

Seemingly reading the story the main complaint was his choice of music in a Bar frequented by Eastern European men he assumed were Russian. What it doesn't say was it ABBA, Elvis,or some of that Hip Hop music that Black folk and Thai Bargirls like. Wonder what triggered these Eastern Europeans.- 1

News Forum - Laid to rest: Thai authorities bury 4.5 million kg of illicit pork in Chon Buri
It is good that those illicit pork are disposed publically which is a more transparent act by the concern authorities. However the public is yet to see huge quantities of illicit drugs that has been confiscated over the years being publically destroyed. Hope the concern authroties take note that.
