Thailand’s National Park Service team and veterinarians are working hard to find a wild elephant, known as “Plai Noo Sing,” who was shot several times and critically injured in a forest in Chachoengsao, east of Bangkok. Sad to see any animal, particularly an elephant in this way.... The only way I want to see elephants, would be in reserves dedicated to them. I have seen some great work in "retirement reserves". Tourists riding elephants....you do not know what is done to them to make them carry you. If you did, you would never pay money to ride them.

      News Forum - Thai police arrest six Chinese nationals in call centre fraud bust

      Chinese?? Well I am astounded - it is so unlike the Chinses to be criminals. That reminds me - recently I was looking at all the uber wealthy rich families in Thailand - you know the ones that own just about everything between them - about 9 or so of them. I noticed that most of them have their 'ancestral homes' in China and their ancestors came to Thailand in early 20th century and the another wave after Mao took over. Someone once told me that the 'good' Chinese went to Taiwan, and the 'not so good' went to Thailand. Not sure if that is true at all. Asking for a friend.

      DTV & ..question..

      I wont argue at all - because mine was that way when in Chiang Mai and Rayong. However, that was not the case here in KK. In fact, because of all the additional and different rules they have here for annual renewals for Marriage, next year I am going to switch to Retirement - unless things change. Your current situation is great, but as I found out, there is no guarantee it will be that way in the future (they always change some rules here) - and it may not be that way if you ever change Provinces. Chiang Mai to Rayong was a change, but no problems - KK was insulting and difficult and unacceptable. One size does not fill all, as I found out the hard way in KK. 3 visits to Office, 2 visits to Bank, 3 Officers visited House, 2 Witnesses required in the house who both had to sign witness statements, Insufferable long 10 minute speech by General littledick (in Thai to the Wife and Witnesses), and a overwhelming desire to stand up and tell the little vagina that 'I bought this effin house and I spend over 1 million baht a year in this country - so eff off and get the eff out of my Wife's house you little ................ But because I cannot speak Thai and am older and have a lot more self control than when younger, I remained quiet and still and said nothing. And then I had to smile while they took a few photos - aarrgh!
