Danny Fenster, American journalist who had been detained in Myanmar’s notorious Insein Prison for more than five months, was released and deported on Monday afternoon, according to his employer at Frontier Myanmar. The report was also confirmed by the US ex-diplomat Richardson, who recently visited Myanmar and talked with junta leader Gen. This Richardson must have a big stick or "something" to put the wind up the Myanmar Junta this quickly.

The Junta may well spin it that he overstayed his visa (he did, he was in jail) or hope it goes away quickly.

I’m just waiting for the Thai Foreign Minister to claim partial credit for this as we know this government is a real supporter of freedom of speech /s
