The Food and Drug Administration and Thai police have confiscated a large quantity of illegally imported medical supplies, according to a Bangkok Post report. The seizure happened yesterday, during a raid on 2 warehouses in the Bang Kapi district of Bangkok. In total, the authorities seized products worth around 5 million baht, including Covid-19 test kits. Anan Nanasombat, chief of the Consumer Protection Police Division says the items included 350,000 face masks, 8,000 sets of personal protective equipment, 1,425 sets of antigen test kits, 3,000 oximeters, and 100 gallons of dish-washing detergent. Illegally  imported as in they didn't get their massive slice of the pie first....

Thai import duties are ridiculridiculously high which effects the quality of goods imported and makes decent branded items beyond the reach of all but the ISO Thais..
