The correct site is https://hague.thaiembassy.org/th/publicservice/e-visa-categories-fee-and-required-documents. The Consulate in Amsterdam to the best of my knowledge is now closed.

It sounds as though you clicked on the https://www.thaiembassy.com/ website, which is a commercial website and front for the law firm Siam Legal. They are not an official Thai Embassy website.

I found all that out, Thai consulate is a real estate firm.I have just set up a visa account after clicking on the link for e-visa supplied by the visa section section of this forum.I probably will not need it as I will only stay for four weeks in Jan/Feb.Thats if COVID restrictions are not back in place the coming winter.Cheers.

If staying less than 30 days, you can enter Visa exempt. The airline will usually request a return ticket within 30 days. If you can book without a cost to change of flight dates, once entering Thailand, you could extend your stay for a further 30 days and change the return date.

Unless I win the lottery,I think 3 to 4 weeks will be all I my pension can handle so I don't think I will need to go down the e-visa rout.It looks like a serious hassle.
