Over 10,000 schools across the country have resumed in-classroom learning, with another 20,000 to follow. Dr Suwanchai Wattanayingcharoenchai from the Department of Health says over 35,000 schools around Thailand have met the Public Health Ministry’s requirements for a safe re-opening. However, under the “Thai Stop Covid Plus” assessment system, final approval needs to come from the communicable disease committee in each province.       I am a US expat. 30 days is a joke and I am not broke. 90 days is my bare minimum. Lived there for years and had a great time, but getting older now, and my bank account is getting bigger and I am not interested in a 30 day trip.. If from the US , the SS check is over 2K/mo. If they do not want it then many others do.. I am not interested in the retirement visa. Just want a place to hang out 6 months a year. Not interested in working, buying any property, maybe paying a live in for the 90 - 180 days is all I want. May head to the Philippines next year to check that out.

      I recall when I opened a business here back in '04 needing a full physical. I walked into a public hospital in Bangkok, was attended to in less than half an hour, and the total bill was 590 baht. At a time when the exchange rate was USD 1 : THB 43.5.

      Top 5 temples to visit in Thailand

      I never visit Temples. I find them over blown and irritating. The Temples hide billions of Baht, while the poor suffer. They did next to nothing during Covid and sponge off the local community each day for food and so called 'merit'. Each one I see disgusts me more than the last one.
