Two reasons (just a theory)... The people who arrived 1 Nov on the "test and go" scheme where just released yesterday, and the majority of people arriving currently are probably not tourist but mainly people who are already familiar with Thailand and have seen all these various attractions prior to covid restrictions.

Jai yen yen, they barely wait for people to even get out of their plane before they checked these numbers. What do they expect? Do they expect these tourists to not first go to their hotels, drop their luggage and rush directly to Wat Pho with all their luggage, sweaty and smelly from the plane trip???? Like wtf, give them a break😂😂😂

Here it is two days into the 'season' and bleats about lack of numbers! A junior high school student could have written this as a work of fiction months ago ant it would still be FACT. Have you taken into account the compulsory lodging period for ALL tourist entries? No... don't let fact get in the way of a good story.

The extensive list of requirements just to visit Thailand is nauseating. Tourists like myself will just wait the government out until they capitulate and remove most restrictions. I’ve got nothing but time while I watch the GDP of these nations swirl the drain.

pjk,you are right!!thai will not see large numbers of tourtist until those restrictions are dropped!!its crazy!! if some one has their vaccines and the covid test before coming  why run them ragged with one night hotel stay, another test, insurance  and contacting the embassy two or three times ''who by the way dont respond''here in usa thai embassy.go back to how it was pre covid.this is something the world is going to have to work and live with.you cant stop people from working forever because a few cases jump up.so i too am waiting for a more hassel free trip.chock dee to all.
