I don't understand how you get cut in two at waist in such an incident. As described, there is something wrong here.

If you look at the blade clearance from the ground it might be possible at mid squat thrust, or maybe he was just trying to hit the deck after he realised the plane was so close. Horrible anyway. Very sad. RIP.

MMm maybe the ground staff employee should have been watching the plane instead of doing keep fit Exercises. I would have thought you would not need an Autopsy to identify the reason for the death.

My g/f used to work for the man killed. Apparently, according to local sources, the aircraft landed on a closed unlicensed strip, used by locals for exercise.  Nobody seems to know why the pilot landed there as it was not his destination.

Small strip amid an industrial park near Lamphun but it has an IATA coding (VTCO) and is operational, although evidently not bery busy.

Nobody is around these small airports at night, no fences or staff just a rotating beacon light

Approaching planes turn on the runway lights by clicking the microphone

I rode bicycles on one in my country years ago maybe they put better security now

From the map it looks like there is easy access onto the "runway", with even a road running accross it within the industrial area. I suppose there is so little traffic everyone forgets about it. But if the lights were activated then that should also act as a warning to clear the runway. Another sad and avoidable death here, I suppose.

Hit by the wing ? The guy was chopped in half at the waist so for that to happen, given the wing height, the guy must have been at least 3 mtrs tall. Don't believe that story for one minute.

Go with the prop version then then mate. Just like in ‘Catch 22’.
