still in Japan Morning Musume formed in 1998 with 8 girls, now has over 40. Released about 70 singles and 15 generations- girls leaving and being replaced

The original AKB group, almost all Asian counties have one inc Thailand. This is AKB48, AKB is for Akihabara Tokyo where they started, Nobody seems to know what the 48 is for but not the number of girls, lost count of that but there is more than one division of AKB48, an Asian musical phenomenon. They have a cafe next to Akihabara train station, lot of fun.

Not all sugary songs, Band Maid have written some pretty filthy lyrics, can't post them on here probably. Founded by Miku Kobata who worked in a Akihabara maid cafe. This song featured in the film Kate recently, the drummer is exceptional.
