The Thai PM says he’s confident there will be no shortage of Covid-19 vaccines and that expected deliveries will arrive as scheduled. Prayut Chan-o-cha was speaking yesterday during a House of Representatives address, ahead of a debate on the budget for the 2022 financial year. Maybe the PM's alternative term for left, right, centre and maybe some off-centre, too, with the now quadruple streams of vaccines:

  1. Sinovac
  2. AstraZeneca, foreign sourced
  3. AstraZeneca, locally made by his Majesty's business, Siam Bioscience
  4. Sonopharm, imports of which, under the sponsorship of Princess Chulabhorn, are being handled by Chulabhorn Royal Academy

A complex sourcing scenario, as most would agree but I do fear that, multi-streamed or otherwise, the wheels will be dropping off this vaccine wagon before the PH Ministry's projected 70% of Thais to be at least one-dosed by end September comes to fruition.

It could just be the cynical me, so let's just see.
