I heard unconfirmed news stating that affordable Covid-19 only insurance is in cloudy water. "Medical insurance with a minimum coverage of USD5 50,000 should be a broad policy, not specific to Covid-19 only and cover hospitalization expenses" according to one news source quoting from Dept. Consular Affairs. I could not find this specific notice on MOFA website. Someone with this knowledge please clarify.

Medical insurance is still a cloudy issue for me. I'll be investigating the options. It should be insurance we can source in out own countries and not in Thailand. I have confidence in insurance offered in my own country because of the laws governing it here. It's robust legislation that gives me far greater confidence.
