Recommended Posts

Now’s a good time to shore up your collection of PM2.5 masks and make sure your air purifier is running smoothly, with dust pollution forecast to hit Bangkok and its surrounding provinces from the end of October. According to a Thai PBS World report, weather conditions – namely the arrival of high atmospheric pressure – will be ripe for the onset of the PM2.5 dust pollution, running through to February. The Meteorological Department has forecast that a weak-to-moderate cold front, pushing down from China, will likely cover Thailand’s northern and north-eastern regions up to December. It will intensify periodically throughout […]

Oh dear ... just as TAT's propaganda machine was gearing up the Met Office has put a dampener on things.

"However, Charoenchansa also stressed that a number of initiatives are being undertaken by the department in seeking to mitigate the pollution’s impact."

What are they going to do? Put those big machines on the corner of the street again? 😂 Or what was that thing they used last year?

Btw, checking cars over 7 years old doesn't help anything if you only do it in October~December. It should be done during the whole year.

So the "high-season" tourists will now stay away because of dust and clouds until February 🤣

Oh good. Nothing to do with Covid and completely out of the government's control 🤣🤣 Not a lame excuse at all 🤣🤣🤣

And after February we have burning season, so keep wearing the masks 🤣🤣🤣🤣

And put some different fuel in your car because that 0.1% difference in pm2.5 level is really going to make all the difference 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

It will happen soon enough but it does feel like Attaphol shot from the hip and a lot of construction halted with covid infected workers and still a few possible days of rain left.

For sure all the high end tourist will still come they like to spend big money in the dust

The inaccuracy of this supposed dust forecast is that covid lockdowns plus good late rains have reduced the potential for dust pollution for several months, if not well into Feb Mar hot season.

The next thing will be the dust particles forming the nuclei for huge cumulus clouds to form

End result massive thunder storms with severe hail and flash flooding.

Seems to be no end to the bad news nowadays.

It will be double masks, 1 X Covid Masks and 1 X Dust Masks.

If it isn't Covid, then floods. If it isn't the floods, then it'll be Pm2.5.

Will we get a break?

At least this will be a legit reason to wear a mask.

What about flooding? It will be double suit.  1 X PPE suit for Covid and 1 X Diving suit
