560,000 long-awaited doses of the Moderna Covid-19 vaccine will finally arrive in the kingdom on November 1. According to a Bangkok Post report, their arrival has been confirmed by Dr Chalerm Harnpanich, president of the Private Hospital Association. He says once quality checks have been completed, they will be distributed to the hospitals and other institutions who ordered them. Looks like the typical Thai way of organising things. So first maximum 5 days of checks. Is that checking one vial and playing with their phone for the other 5 days? And only then they're going to look how to divide the doses and take another maximum 8 days to distribute them? 

It's not like there's any urgency, right?

They might expedite the checks and get someone to do the planning already, so the vaccines are on their way to the hospitals by the end of the week.

Oh, and talking about boosters. Have they decided yet whether to experiment some more with 20% of Moderna as well? Or are they only "scientifically" telling people that decision after some hospital has done a few weeks worth of tests on 100 Guinea pigs again like with AZ?

This is just ridiculous. Comes on the 1rst but they need to check the vaccine so it will probably more than likely be an additional 12-14 days? These are the most moronic idiotic brain dead non caring people there could be in any serious position. My wife and oodles of CM folk are waiting for the Moderna while CM is blowing up, but I will bet that they will not send enough here for the first registered as they will probably come up with some cockamamie scheme to inject dogs and cats because, well just because TIT.

That number won't make a big difference.....just don't drop any! Oh and the checking of batches on arrival is a thing everywhere around the world. Just hope Thailand doesn't vacillate!
