An introduction to Phetchabun

• Phetchabun in the Central-north, lies in the Pa Sak River valley between parallel ranges of the Phetchabun Mountains.  Khao Kho National Park in the northwest is characterised by magnificent forests, mountains and a cooler climate which favours vegetable growing.  Si Thep Historical Park, in the south of the province, contains the ruins of an ancient Khmer city possibly threatened by oil exploration.
