It is good that they are being named; it is a start.

However, why re-assigned?

Why not charged with a crime?

Why are they being treated differently than any other people (yes, I know)?

Until senior police officers are seen being sent to jail in handcuffs, Thailand will never achieve its desire for first-world status.

Caught in the act of corruption only transferred to other areas to perform the same trick again. How can Thailand or its police ever be taken seriously when things like this happen on a near daily basis. 

They should have been sacked arrested and imprisoned.

I dare not think of how many police stations would get torched if Black Lives Matter and ANTIFA set up shop in Thailand.

Same Same. I never got an answer when I asked what happened to those officers re-assigned from the Chiang Mai Police Academy for demanding 500K bribes to pass students.  And so many other incidents too numerous to mention.

Reassigned in what capacity? Same senior positions or Desk Jockey's awaiting further actions resulting from "internal" investigations? Naming them does their image any favors at least.

Corrupt and what happens ? its ok move them on they should at least be sacked to serve a lesson to others thinking of doing the same and upholding the Law.

I’m not sure of the history of why police officers breaking laws are simply reassigned. It seem policy rather than a work around based on ability to pay. To most of us it seems utterly beyond belief that such a policy could even be suggested, let alone discussed and agreed upon . Perhaps there is a Thai historian or scholar who can provide a rationale behind the most blatantly ridiculous process any law enforcement agency could think up?  
 

I would also like to know where is the limit of crimes for which you can be reassigned. Is it based on a custodial or criminal sentence? So if you are not sent to jail or convicted on a criminal charge, it then becomes an internal matter of discipline. A transfer is obviously seen as sufficient punishment.
