A new deal has been struck between 2 private hospitals and Thammasat University to purchase and import 5 million Pfizer and Moderna mRNA vaccines. Any attempt to garner supply of good quality vaccines for Thailand is a good thing. I can only hope they are distributed equitably.

Evidently the more unnecessary middlemen and extra steps that can be involved for no reason, the better.

Efficacy is short-lived.  The turnaround for Thailand getting supply and people fully vaccinated is going to be like 3 years.  By the time everyone is vaccinated the majority of people will be unprotected....d/t waning immunity.  The solution: let this virus run rampant.  Some 80 year old expats are going to die.  Who cares- they were going to die very soon anyways from obesity and the pub.

i was under impression all vaccine purchases should go through GPO, now, we don't just have 1 middleman, we have 2 or more

Let's not blame commercial institutions for making some money by getting vaccines that many are happy to pay for, as they couldn't get a vaccine from the government yet or refuse their choice.

Surely the government made no money from spending tax-payers money, no brown envelopes, no new cars and absolutely no favours from the CCP for buying overly expensive ineffective dishwater. 

Do I even need to add a sarcasm emoji?
