Squid Game is a huge hit on Netflix.

I watched the whole season in one weekend.

*no spoilers please* for those who have not seen it.

What kind of violent crimes did it make you commit?

. . . police Colonel Kritsana Pattanacharoen says he is especially concerned about the effect the show will have on viewers under 18 . . .

Sad that the RTP have expressed little, if any, concern over the effect Police Chief Joe Ferrari's behaviour will have on news channel viewers under that age. Whilst 'Squid Game' may deploy some deeply disturbing imagery, how does this compare, within Col. Kritsana's ethical values, to what this senior cop did and for the entire world to see . . . a usefully-timed distraction, maybe?

When I was young, I always played outside and had lots of fun there. All the fun they are having now is tv or computer. Because the worst virus that has ever existed in history of mankind is out there and get scared not to go outside. It's as if lately they are taking every bit of fun that is left for some people because soon tv and computer is being taken away from them.

"The show is a uniquely violent drama full of gruesome and upsetting imagery."

It's either on:

- A show on tv

- The news

- Outside where they were protesting

The way that got handled was also violent drama full of gruesome and upsetting imagery.

My first thought after watching this was that I hope a bunch of kids don't go and install machine guns behind walls at the park.  I'm so glad the police are on top of this.

No one:

Police: Don't copy this behavior!

Kids: Oh, we weren't doing this. But to copy it sounds like a good idea.

Comes with the territory.

Just a smaller piece in the bigger puzzle that controls most everything worldwide.

Because we let them be.

Fair comment, but instead of the RTP or anyone else just saying "don't do x y z", which is all too easy, they should be saying "do a b c", which requires a lot more thought.
