Chiang Mai BMW owner fined ...

Recommended Posts

... for changing the 'colour' without notifying DLT.  So, is having a highly reflective chromed surface legal?  I'm surprised they didn't have reflective tinted windows all round as well ....

Well in theory I suppose a change of colour without notifying  the DLT is illegal. The problem in Thailand is that nothing is consistently enforced, Headlights wrongly adjusted, indicators wrong colour, rear lights wrong colours, trucks with green, red colour lights on the front, green at the back, heavily tinted windows etc etc all illegal but not consistently enforced. Having said that having a nice car such as that BMW made to look like a mirrored brothels changing room, then the owner should be locked up for stupidity and/or bad taste.
