How many centuries is it? I wrote a hundred or two hundred years. That is a couple of centuries.

Why isn't it generations? Two hundred years is a lot of generations.

Goes much farther back than two hundred years.

No problemo - that is exactly the key factor of concern. How long does it take?  Can we all claim against any current Government for the genocide that forced our ancestors to move somewhere else.  The history of the people of the world is continuous wars, invasions and conquering of other groups, cities, societies, states and countries.  Where is that line drawn?

Agreed. There are some great “time lapse” graphics on YouTube which show the changes of boundaries across continents. I don’t think any of us can claim indigenous other than being indigenous to planet earth. Shame we don’t all remember that and live in peace.

This one is for SE Asia over time

That was why I was interested asking how many centuries.

Well how it seems to go, if he promises to be a good boy and swears on his mothers grave that all he did was legal to the best of his knowledge, then as the thinking amongst these people are us why not let the ole boy have a seat, he is one of us after all, and he did swear and promise ya know.

Thanks for this .

Fighting against each other because of being members of different ethnicities is primitive .

Just as different religions believing that there are many different gods to pray to .

The color of the skin does not matter , the ethnical background does not matter , what matters is a good education .

History shows that the only thing that matters is whose side you were on after a conflict. The ancient Greeks were well educated in relative terms and look what happened to them.

Today it became clear that a good and unbiased education is the first step to take to be able to avoid future conflicts ...

Anyway , the problems that will arise soon , ( climate change , virus mutations , etc . ) might become a factor in the unification process of mankind ... That means the consequences of climate change will eventually help to realize that a big problem for all of humanity can only be solved if all of mankind acts together , regardless of ethnicities or nationalities ...

( illusionary to believe that the global warming can still be limited to 1.5 degrees )

What you say is true of course but unfortunately human beings being what they are there is always some one or some country who wants more than others even though it is not needed.

Human Nature ... but hopefully mankind will be able to take another step up on the ladder ( or spiral ) of evolution ... and live and share a peaceful life united on one planet without destroying it ... ?

Or not ... and leave place for another dominant species that may evolve on this planet in a few thousand years ... ( a few thousand years is not much for a planet that is 4.5 billion yrs old already ) , if the planet , by that time , does not look like Mars ...

And who would that be, he asked, innocently?

Yet, those beloved Western "democracies" that you romantically and blindly promote are nothing close to democratic - societal or political.

The term that you might be looking for is: Oligarchy....or even better, Corporatocracy.

Sarcasm is the use of words usually used to either mock or annoy someone, or for humorous purposes.

I wrote 'perfect' with the apostrophes to denote using the word sarcastically 😉
