A generation ago it was an unique and festive event - a local/regional affair. 

Unfortunately, it's been corrupted by the ever looming commercialization. 

Just a personal observation. 

 

But.....by all means, if one has never experienced this historied celebration, you should give it a go.

Seriously you want to see this, although banned this year..a vegetarian festival with real nut jobs sliding swords , basically anything pointy and sharp through their faces necks ears!  No meat to eat but on full butchershop display !

So does this indicate that vegetarians are truly nut jobs if inserting sharp objects into their bodies give them enjoyment ? If so I am going to stop eating Broccoli with my steaks and ribs.
