I suspect Thailand prefers to argue about who is right and wrong, rather than just sign the papers, collect and jab them!

No urgency at all...

But hey, why hurry? They haven't even jabbed the 1.5m previous donation completely yet that they've had nearly 2 months already (arrived 30/7 and NOT yet used up!)

Wouldn't it just be better to spend your time finding out if an issue exists and help to get it solved if it does, rather than seemingly putting more messages out that seem only to protect "face"?

If they are not here, then there is a problem. Simple. Perhaps just getting it solved may gain the Minister more respect.

But Bob, that can’t be right when they are on target to vaccinate 1,000,000 a day. They could have that little lot used up by Saturday lunchtime . Oops sorry, wrong emoji

But that probably is already according to their plan. Time and time again having mistakes and blames and not getting good vaccines in. Smoke screens and pointing fingers and creating delays so they don’t have to bring any of them in which follows for their obvious plan. The only respect I would think they care about is from their inner Hi So and connected circle. Everyone else is insignificant.

Correct. The Hi-So have nothing to fear about this virus now. Some of their businesses will be under threat, but very few. The big industries have more issues to worry about such as the downturn in global trade than a few scutty nighttime bars and clubs or low cost airlines. Some of the bigger ones can be snapped up cheap once all this is over. A nice little project for their kids once they return from their university educations in the U.S or U.K.

Sinovac keeps up to 2 years...

The Pfizer had only 4 months until expiry date from date of delivery (30/7), so that would expire first and would make sense to use up first.

Besides, they were earmarked for special groups amongst which vulnerable people, so that should always have priority...

No, @Bob20, it wouldn't "make sense to use it up first" since Pfizer is not only earmarked for the vulnerable but also for school students due to be vaccinated in the next two months who can only be given Pfizer, not AZ or Sinovac, and who haven't been part of the vaccination process yet.

Sorry if that doesn't suit your or Soidog's agendas, but maybe someone in the distribution chain has used more "sense" than you have.

Siam BioScience has no option but  "selling to other countries" - it was a condition of the technology transfer agreement with AZ.

You mean the USA can't give the stuff away?  Makes you wonder if there is a criteria not being met other than,"paperwork."  You don't think some how this has something  to do with the abundance of Sinovac?  Maybe Thailand  wants it, but needs to or wants to use it's supply up it has now, before using resources to store it.  I mean is that possible?  If all it takes is completed and the millions  can be flown over on a military airlift,  then why not wait until needed to use, to ask at the dro pool of a hat?
