Seems like a Dutch Judge suggests anti vaxxer parents are wrong

Well from this article it appears that the Dutch Judge used common sense and understood the emotional requirement of the boy purposely denied a covid vaccination by his anti vaxxer Father.

Netherlands Covid: Boy wins court battle for right to jab - BBC News

It is clear from the article that the only reason the boy wants to be vaccinated, is to visit his dying grandmother who has metastatic lung cancer and is in the last stages of her life.  The article doesn't mention it, but it is most probably the Hospital or Carehome that refuses him to visit his dying grandmother, and insists on him being vaccinated to do so.  And he would probably have to wait two weeks after vaccination before he is allowed to actually visit her, if she is still alive by then.

A wise judge would have also heard the grandmother.  If she is dying and already in the Hospital it is obvious that she has little time left, and she would for sure not care whether her grandson was vaccinated or not, and could infect her.

And while Granny was testifying I'm sure she would have encouraged the little vector to get vaccinated not because it would protect her in her dying hours but that it would protect all the other residents, workers, and visitors at the facility. It's not about each of us; it's about all of us. But some don't quite get it.

Indeed, I don't quite get it.  Referring both to covid, as well as the jab... 😉

Just to put a few things right:

The boy didn't go to court.

The parents have what is called a "disturbed parental relationship" and in such cases if there is disagreement on parenting issues, the matter goes to a judge who decides in the best interest of the child.

Vaccination will, to some extent, reduce viral-load which together with other preventative measures will reduce the chance of transmission.

The ruling states that heart problems would be the most worrying of adverse reactions, but out of 160 million vaccinations in Europe there were only 126 cases of myocarditis and 122 cases of pericarditis, very well recognised and nearly all with full recovery. Therefore the risk was seen as negligible and the decision was to allow him to be vaccinated immediately and not requiring to wait until after a possible appeal.
