Chiang Mai opening: Tourists to begin arriving 1st October

Recommended Posts

Tourists come & see what??? My family & friends came & saw, loved many Chiang Mai experiences that do not exist anymore. We did these adventures together. That is no longer an option. This is a ghost destination. I recommend anyone spending hard earned money on a trip to chose a destination outside of here. Somewhere they can truly have a holiday, experiences. Not just closed shops, empty elephant parks & a decimated city. I want Chiang Mai to go back to its vibrant self. That won't happen without a lot of investment and support. Chinese Tourists following a flag & spending no money in local Thai businesses is not going to help the local people.

Absolutely. It's exactly what I've said before. Besides the risk of spreading the virus before most are protected, opening too soon will do a big disservice to the area, as the negative experiences and reviews will be all over the internet, dissuading others even more.
