Good Hotel Near US Embassy in Bangkok?

Just wondering about a decent hotel recommendation near the US Embassy, maybe within walking distance? Thanks!

Jim's Lodge  ,its within walking distance ! I stayed there several times ! 3 star and affordable ,clean , safe area with lots of restaurants

Conrad Hotel is really nice, and a 6min walk to the Embassy

It's a 6min walk

 

And it looks like it is around 44usd/nt, an absolute steal

When we stayed, there were a few nice Airbnb condos within walking distance. 

Jim's Lodge is the best bet otherwise.

The Quarter Ploenchit by UHG. speaks perfect English. new construction. ask for room 519. huge discounts now about 620 baht a night and up. stayed there many times. many restaurants around. small walk to BTS.

950 meters two minutes by Grab or 12 minute walk to embassy entrance. 

or the Novotel Bangkok Ploenchit Sukhumvit. also very close. plan ahead very popular. 

nearby is Breakfast Story for best American breakfast in Bangkok or Thailand.

The Conrade I recommended is obviously a bit more luxurious
