A new Nida Poll about the recent shakeups in the government with PM Prayut Chan-o-cha and 5 cabinet members defeating a vote of no confidence shows that only 16% of people believe that the Prime Minister should become the new leader of the Palang Pratharath Party, while many feel it’s time for him to move aside and make way for new leaders to emerge. These results are hardly surprising, are they?
 
Is there anyone who is a rabid supporter of the PM? Even in his own party? Anyone?
 
Is there a reason for the PPRP to exist, other than as a vehicle for the old coup leadership to pretend to be democratic? Does the PPRP stand for anything, other than the continuation of power by and for the elite?
 
Some things need to die a quick and natural death, and both the PPRP and Prayut's time as Prime Minister are at the top of that list.

It was a slam dunk question anyway.

That’s around the same number pollsters ask in the US. 
 

But I don’t think PM is going to care. He survived “a vote of no confidence” considering he out nearly half of them in there. 
 

The claim during the last election was that even if he earned 25% of the vote he’d still be in the majority
