An out of work Thai chef was arrested for allegedly trying to sell 8 preserved butterflies, all of which are rare species, to undercover officials from the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation at a shopping centre in Bangkok. The unidentified 29 year old unemployed chef, who previously worked at a Japanese restaurant in a Sukhumvit hotel, allegedly told officials that the butterflies belonged to him and used to reside on the walls of the Japanese restaurant. Nearly extinct already , they then attract even more hunters who believe that they can make some fast money by catching and selling them . How many die because of this ?

Every day , about 130 species on this planet disappear forever . Extinct , they will never come back .

The sting was made from their Van? An investigation is ongoing to find out if the officers went for a swim before or after the arrest 😉

I think this is symptomatic of the unemployment this pandemic has caused. That someone goes to these lengths to make money is telling. I don't think that when he was gainfull employed as a chef he would have even contemplated this.
